to strengthen his self-esteem. After the untimely death of his mother, Pia took
over telling stories to her brother and even eventually taught him how to read.
After his sister was taken away
by the lich pirate Admiral Sebastian, Vic has made it his personal goal to
rescue Pia, his sister, from the clutches of the undead horror.
Prince Gaius Faulkner
“It is no bad thing to
celebrate a simple life.”
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Hometown: Carrowell, Delmaron
Species: Lion
Occupation: Dilettante/Trader
Goals:
#1: Avenge the death of his crewmen.
#2: Carve out a life of his own away from the political
issues of his family.
#3: Live a simple but comfortable existence.
Bio:
The second child of King Fabius
and Queen Babette of Delmaron, younger brother to Prince Cassius and older
brother to Prince Decius. Gaius sole goal in life is to escape the constant
political scheming of his family, particularly his brothers. Sickened of Cassius’
arrogance and constant posturing, tired of Decius’ trickery and relentless
scheming and, most of all, fed up with being used as a pawn in a huge political
game, Gaius fled to Pyril in the hopes of escaping his brothers and their
lackeys. Since he arrived in the port city of Cormalen five years ago, he has
lived comfortably as a trader of exotic spices and vegetation like bananas,
mangoes and durians. He sails the vast waters of Thessonia aboard his mighty
man-o’ war, the Chenodia in search of
new things to trade and adventure.
When the city of Cormalen came
under attack, more than half of his crew were slain including his good friends
Jack the sparrow and Joe the toad by fleeing pirates. Swearing to bring to
justice their murderers, Gaius has gone out of his way to help in the hunt for
Admiral Sebastian. He will now stop at nothing to wreak vengeance upon those
responsible for the destruction of Cormalen and the death of his crew.
Zenaida “Zenny” Ivanov
“DEUS VULT!”
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Hometown: Thorbul, Valmoren
Species: Tiger
Occupation: Crusader
Goals:
#1: Atone for the death of her family.
#2: Avenge her family’s death.
#3: Cook and eat sweet potatoes over a fire.
Bio:
As a young girl living in the
small town of Thorbul, Zenaida lived an otherwise normal and happy life with
her parents. However, that ended when the town was attacked by a vast horde of
zombies raised by a necromancer known as “The Masked One”. The undead soon
attacked her home and her parents did all they could to let their daughter
escape the zombies and lost their lives in the effort. All they gave Zenaida
was enough money to travel on a ship to Cormalen City and a letter to “Edgar
Montague”. More than a decade later, Zenaida has served as an assistant to the
couple in their management of their tavern, the Intoxicated Whaler. However,
during her free time, Zenaida has trained both her body and mind in the local
barracks to one day avenge the death of the family who gave their lives to save
hers.
After the lich pirate Admiral
Sebastian caused untold havoc in the city of Cormalen, Zenaida has made it her
personal duty to hunt down the undead horror or at least aid in his demise.
Captain Beryl Meralco nee Paddington
“For home and honor!”
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Hometown: Valford, Affiliated Provinces of Ormland
Species: Mink
Occupation: Bounty-Hunter/Sailor
Goals:
#1: Recapture Admiral Sebastian for the huge reward money.
#2: Find a cure for her son’s sickness.
#3: Unravel the mystery of her husband’s untimely death.
Bio:
Born Beryl Paddington, Captain
Meralco is the wife of the late Antonio Meralco and mother to Tony and Tina
Meralco. Her life was simple enough at first, what with her husband being a
wealthy tobacco merchant but her son soon fell ill with ghost pox, a poorly
understood and bizarre condition seldom seen outside of Pyril. As if that
wasn’t enough, her husband soon committed suicide with the rest of his
immediate family (parents and siblings) by jumping off a cliff when he went to
visit them. Refusing to believe that her husband would even contemplate such a
thing, what with a son who was almost always in need of medical attention,
Beryl insisted that her husband’s death was either a murder or that some other
party coerced them. To this day she is haunted by the death of her husband and
constantly seeks to discover what had really happened on the day that he and
his family had taken their own lives.
Beryl
later became a privateer using her husband’s original ship The Golden Bride and its crew to pay for her son’s extremely high
medical bills. While difficult and dangerous, she was determined to ensure her
children’s future at the cost of her own life if need be. While she had lost
her husband’s ship, she had managed to capture Admiral Sebastian and had
brought him to Cormalen to be processed. She was due a hefty reward for her
efforts but alas the pirate managed to escape and her reward was cancelled.
Luckily, all was not lost for the privateer captain as help came from a most
surprising source.
And the person whom the story is mostly centered on!
Admiral Donato “Don-Don” Sebastian
“It’s not death you
should fear but what you find yourself forced to live with!”
Age: 300?
Gender: Male
Hometown: Santa Innocencia, Pyril
Species: Komodo Dragon
Occupation: Pirate/Lich
Goals:
#1: Unknown. Seems to be searching for something. Or someone.
#2: Pirate and sell banned literature and concoct and peddle
prohibited liquors.
#3: Produce and profit from illegal theatrical plays.
Bio:
The dreaded Pirate Admiral began
his mortal life as a commoner whose only desire was to explore and discover
more about the world. He traveled often, usually with his childhood friend and
later betrothed Fina Vaughn, and together they traveled all across the then
young Confederate Islands, Xenjese Commonwealth and Zorali Magocracy. They are
even said to have traveled beyond, into the Unknown World, to the mythical
continents of the dreaded Gravelands. However, it was said to be there, in those
distant lands, that Donato Sebastian first learned of black magic which he soon
became obsessed with. According to the stories, Donato Sebastian then
sacrificed Fina Vaughn who was pregnant with his child at the time in order to
please the new gods he worshiped. He was then rewarded with immortality through
undeath and became the fearsome lich he is now.
These days Admiral Sebastian
sails the waters of the Thessonia Ocean in search of ships he may sell his
pirated goods to or Xenjese or Zorali ships he can terrorize and capture. He
has a particular hatred for Commonwealth or Magocracy ships and will almost
always attack them over the Confederal Navy and constabulary even though the
latter is probably the greatest threat to him. According to what the Confederal
Navy has discovered so far, Admiral Sebastian seems mostly content to pirate
and sell books banned by either or both the government and the clergy such as The Salacious Secrets of Zoral’s Covens,
The Xenjese Agenda: Enemies Among Us,
The Vespucci Code: What Zoral’s Covens Aren’t
Telling Us, The Unholy Debaucheries of Emperor Pu and the ever-infamous 50 Hues of Silver. He also takes part in
the production of coconut vodka, also called “lambanog” among the local
Pyrilians, which is unfortunately illegal. He also produces stage plays that
are otherwise outlawed by the Pyrilian government and or church usually
starring his own crew at fairly affordable prices.
